Stellar video. It doesn't take much to do good. #fb

I love how Scott Harrison, founder of Charity:Water works.

He's uncovered a Call, tapped into a positive passion, and created a cause that is worthy, just, humanly and spiritually right.

He breaks down what looks like an impossible task into doable, bite-sized pieces, and invites others to join.

You may or may not decide to support Charity:Water but there is something that we all can do to make our immediate world and the World beyond a better, safer, healthier, happier place.

What are you doing?

If I didn't know it was the President, I'd have thought late-nite TV show host. Guess Obama will always find work.

There are chutneys and then there are chutneys. And then there are these. #fb

I grew up on hand-bottled chutneys made with unripened mangos picked from Hawaii's backyard trees. Mmm! However, just as I have leapt beyond the confines of our island paradise to explore the great beyond, so have my taste buds.

This article by Monica Bhide posted on NPR [ http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=103091540&ps=bb3] opens up the wider world of chutneys and includes recipes for Savory Mini Cheesecakes with Red Pepper and Green Tomatillo Chutney, Green Chutney Chicken, and Mint-Cilantro Chutney.

I especially want to try the mint-cilantro chutney (pictured last here).

Validation. I so believe in this. It's how I want to live my life. h/t @soyleslie #fb

I may be the 1,600,638th person to view this video at this post - maybe late for the train, and maybe you've already seen this, so BRAVO for you! But if you have not, this kind of train won't pull out of the station until you are happily on board.

Now, I know at more than 16 minutes long, this video isn't your typical YouTube flash-in-the-pan. But an award winner at multiple film festivals, it's worth every second. You'll see why.

p.s. Smile!

Stunning setting for Easter worship under the Koolau mountains this morning #fb

There is something powerful about sitting under the shadow of towering mountains for worship. I grasp with new awe the majesty of God through the power of His Creation, and I am made aware of His care for me.

Our church, First Presbyterian Church of Honolulu, purchased and moved to the 241-acre Ko‘olau Golf Club [ http://koolaugolfclub.com/] two-and-a-half years ago. It’s just over the Pali on the windward side of the island of O‘ahu in Hawai‘i. In fact, if you go up to the famous Pali Lookout and look straight down, you will see the golf course and the club house, which houses the church facilities. Yes, people still play golf there (it’s considered the most difficult in the nation). But on Easter weekend we close off the driving range to hold outdoor Easter worship services, this year at 6 am and 11:11 am.

Our contemporary worship leader, Cory Oliveros, and his team did an awesome job with the music – as always. We had the Hawaiian

E komo mai! Come and visit some time.

Been using Pimsleur for a while to learn Chinese but maybe I need to retro to Little Pim #fb

Seeing pictures to go along with the lessons would really help. Plus, Little Pim has that small kid voice. Yeah, yeah, I also have Rosetta Stone software but I can't use it in the car driving or put it on my iPod.

When crap makes sense: American Ingenuity in Haiti - please see video by @nytimeskristof http://is.gd/pzdu #fb

I'm inspired by the work of the two young American women featured in this video by The New York Times' Nicholas Kristof. They could easily choose another life, but they have chosen this. We all have the opportunity, yea privilege, to turn crap into fertilizer.

For my personal spiritual thoughts on the same subject, see http://40dayfast.posterous.com/growth-stinks
