Halloween Costumes to Inflict Upon the Innocent
I just picked my favorites from Mental Floss [http://www.mentalfloss.com/blogs/archives/19662]. Here's their rationale:
" A big part of the fun on Halloween is to dress your children in costumes you would never wear yourself. Sooner or later, they will rebel and let you know in no uncertain terms that they will not be seen in public in your fantasy getup. Even if they aren’t embarrassed, there may be vision or mobility problems with an elaborate costume. So make those fantasies happen while your child is a helpless infant, unable to say no."
Ha, ha, ha!
If you figure out how to do better with your own helpless young ‘uns, post them here. Now, if I could only get my 22 year old into a lobster pot. The screams, the hysteria, the photo-ops, the fun!

Qing Hua Ci by Jay Chou 周杰倫
The brush outlines a beautiful pattern, brush strokes becoming lighter
The peony on the bottle, simplest beauty, just like you
Whiffs of incense smoke bring your troubles to my heart
I pause halfway while painting
The glazing of the lady's portrait hides her charm
Your smile, to me, like a budding flower
But your beauty dissipates like smoke, to a place I can never reach
[Chorus]
The perfect shade of blue awaits the right weather, like how I wait for you
From a thousand miles away, I gaze at the curling chimney smoke
The calligraphy beneath the bottle, elegance of the Han Dynasty
Our meeting I foreshadowed
The perfect shade of blue awaits the right weather, like how I wait for you
The moonlight smudged away the remnants of our ending
Like legendary porcelain obsessed with itself, your eyes full of laughter
Those blue carp seem to come alive on the white bowl
While I am imitating the Song inscription I'm thinking of you
The eon of secrets you buried in the kiln
It's exquisiteness like an embroidery needle
The banana tree outside brought the sudden downpour, and in turn the copper rust on the door handle
My passing by Jiangnan brings me to you
Yet you fade away into the deep abyss of the Chinese painting

Now all I need is a bike!
This cool way to light your bike is enough to make you want to take a moonlight ride. Available from Rock the Bike http://www.rockthebike.com/lights/downlowglow, here are some of the Down Low Glow’s selling points:
- Worry less about getting hit, and focus more on the joys of the night ride
- Great for social rides:
- Extremely cool. People often say it reminds them of the neon lights on Lowrider cars. But really, it's much better, because you don't have to lean out the window to enjoy the effect.
- The only bicycle safety light with GSR ("Gimme Some Room") Technology. The whole point of GSR technology is to make you and your bike seem wider on the road than you actually are.

Cosmic artwork
Eerily resemblance to something in the last scene of “Hancock,” now one of my favorite flicks. Highly recommend it. Not what you expect from the trailer. Deep.
